Cardiovascular Computational
Modeling Laboratory
Welcome to the CARDIOCOM Lab website
The Cardiovascular Computational Modeling Laboratory, or CARDIOCOM Lab, focuses on developing and applying computational tools to solve complex problems in cardiovascular research. Founded by Dr. Gediminas Gaidulis in the fall of 2024, the lab operates within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Memphis.
At the CARDIOCOM Lab, our areas of interest include:
Structural heart biomechanics.
Patient-specific predictive modeling.
Surgical and interventional repair of valvular heart disease.
Turbulent blood flow.
Risk assessment of cardiac events.
